Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin Launches Rs 184 Crore Projects, Assistance Under Adi Dravidar And Tribal Welfare Dept

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin inaugurated projects worth Rs 171 crore and provided assistance totalling Rs 184 crore under the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare department.

The Chief Minister?emphasized his commitment to developing the state based on principles of social justice, equality, and fraternity during the inauguration ceremony.

Stressing the departure from the traditional Dravidian model, Stalin aimed to ensure development that caters to the needs of everyone.

Over the past three years, the state has witnessed the construction of 12 Adi Dravidar student hostels at an estimated cost of Rs 175 crore.

The government is also offering various concessions to support the educational development of Adi Dravidar and Tribal students.

Adi Dravidar Welfare Minister N Kayalvizhi Selvaraj shared remarks on the occasion.

More welfare schemes launched by CM MK Stalin

The Chief Minister also launched welfare schemes amounting to Rs 149 crore, inaugurated school buildings, hostels, and community centres costing Rs 32.95 crore, and laid foundation stones for hostel buildings and learning centres with an investment of Rs 138 crore.

As part of the initiatives, financial assistance with subsidies of up to Rs 10 crore was distributed through TAHDCO to enable the landless to purchase agricultural land.

Stalin handed over keys to beneficiaries of 943 new houses constructed for conservancy workers and Irular tribes.

Furthermore, assistance worth Rs 62 crore was provided to 776 beneficiaries under various welfare schemes, including the issuance of appointment orders.
