Pakistan will face mighty Australia in the first Test of the highly anticipated three-match Test series in Perth Stadium in Western Australia starting on Thursday. Both teams have announced their playing XI one day before and looking at that, it seems pace is going to rule in Perth as always. (Cricket News)

Australia first announced their playing XI earlier in the morning and then the Pakistan team announced their final eleven players who will feature in the first Test match. Pacer Khurram Shahzad and Aamir Jamal will make their Test debut on Thursday. Both have been very impressive and showed good discipline in their line and lengths in domestic cricket.

Imam-Ul-Haq and Abdullah Shafique will open the innings followed by Babar Azam, captain Shan Masood and Saud Shakeel. Then, wicket-keeper Sarfaraz Ahmed followed by Spin option Salman Ali Agha. Faheem Ashraf and Aamir Jamal can also contribute with the bat.

The Australian side consists of opener Usman Khawaja along with veteran David Warner, who is playing his last Test series. Marnus Labuschagne and Steven Smith will be followed by the ICC Player of the Month in November and recently named vice-captain of the Test team, Travis Head.

Alex Carey will do the wicket-keeping. Mitch Marsh will provide the ammunition at no. 6 or 7. Nathan Lyon is their sole front-line spinner in the team. Then the dealy pace trio of captain Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood.

The Australian team looks dominant on paper but the Pakistan side have some young guns and mostly veterans of the longest format. The battle between the two would be joyous for the fans in Australia and around the globe.
