Mumbai on Tuesday reported 56 new COVID-19 cases, taking the overall tally to 11,63,352, while no fresh death linked to the infection was registered in the city, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said.

Mumbai's coronavirus recovery rate stood at 98.3 per cent, while the growth rate of cases between May 2 and May 8 was 0.0054 per cent, it said.
A BMC bulletin said the death toll remained unchanged at 19,768.
On Monday, the city had logged 28 cases and a single fatality.
As per the bulletin, 1,515 coronavirus tests were conducted in the city in the last 24 hours, taking their? cumulative total to 1,88,56,157.
According to the BMC, the number of recoveries reached 11,43,155 after 47 more patients recuperated from the respiratory illness.

The case doubling rate was 14,089 days, said the bulletin.
