I Can Never Fight With My Brother: Supriya Sule On Ajit Pawar's Move

Maharashtra saw a twist in the tale of state politics on Sunday when Ajit Pawar backed by a pool of Nationalist Congress Party leaders joined the Eknath Shinde government as a deputy chief minister. NCP working president and Pawar's cousin Supriya Sule expressed being able to compartmentalize their lives on personal and professional fronts.

Nationalist?Congress Party's working president Supriya Sule said that NCP leader Ajit Pawar's new role as deputy chief minister for the Eknath Shinde government will not affect the unity of the opposition parties against Bharatiya Janata Party at Centre.

Supriya Sule addressed a press conference late in the night on Sunday where she said, "our credibility will only rise after this" referring to her father and NCP chief Sharad Pawar's stature.

Furthermore, Sule expressed that she and Ajit Pawar could have different ideas regarding their party but she couldn't fight with her elder brother, as PTI reported, she said, "she will live him as a sister."

On Sunday Ajit Pawar backed by a pool of NCP leaders took oath as the deputy chief minister in Shiv Sena-BJP government. Reportedly eight other leaders were also inducted as ministers in the swearing-in ceremony yesterday.

According to the reports, Sule's new position as the working president of NCP since last month might have steered the revolt by Ajit Pawar and the other fellow leaders, it is said she has become more responsible with her duties with the party since Pawar's revolt in 2019 to join Devendra Fadnavis-led government.

As reported by PTI, Supriya Sule has said that she doesn't want to mix personal and professional relationships. She said, "I can never have a fight with my brother."

Adding to that Sule remarked, "I am boring, steady and not impulsive...Emotional relationships and professional work are two different things. I will never mix the two."

Sule further expressed that yesterday with all the new developments in the state's politics regarding her party, it was just another hectic day for her.

A meeting was called upon at Ajit Pawar's official residence 'Devgiri' in Mumbai on Sunday morning. Sule reportedly said that she would not reveal what they spoke about and it would remain only between them.

Sule assured the media that NCP will continue to work with renewed vigour for the welfare of the state and the country.

Supriya Sule was asked if she thinks NCP will take disciplinary action against the other leaders who backed Ajit Pawar and have been inducted as ministers in the government, to that Sule reportedly said, "Let the story unfold. It has not even been 12 hours."

Nationalist Congress Party's senior leader Ajit Pawar on Sunday met some party leaders and MLAs at his official residence in Mumbai.

Sule said Ajit Pawar may have different views. "We both are mature enough to compartmentalise our lives on personal and professional fronts," she said.?

"Nobody knows how many MLAs are with Ajit Pawar," reportedly said Sule.?

When asked if she was talking to any of them, she said, "I talk to them every time. Every MLA of NCP is precious. We have love, affection and respect. We have lived as a family."
