Google's Year In Search 2024 For Indian Entertainment: From Stree 2 and Heeramandi To Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli's Son Akaay

In entertainment, four films topped the list on Google searches in India: Stree 2, Kalki 2898 AD, 12th Fail and Laapataa Ladies. Hanu-man bagged the 5th spot, while Maharaja was on the 6th and Manjummel Boys on the 7th. Vijay’s The Greatest Of All Times grabbed the 8th in the list, followed by Salaar and Aavesham.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s OTT debut show Heeramandi topped the list of OTT shows, followed by Mirzapur, and Last of Us. Reality show Bigg Boss 17 emerged 4th in the list, while Panchayat was in 5th. Kota Factory is in the 8th spot. K-dramas like Queen of Tears and Marry my Husband also grabbed users' attention in the Google search list.

In the music category, Akshath’s Nadaaniyan was the most searched song of the year, followed by Anuv Jain’s Husn while Illuminati song bagged the 3rd position and Katchi Sera the 4th. Past hits like Ye Tune Kya Kiya got the 5th, and Yeh Raaten Yeh Mausam is at the 8th. Bollywood song Aaj Ki Raat took the 6th position.

Interestingly, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli's son Akaay, who was born to the couple this year in February, also made it to Google search in the ‘meaning’ sub-category of Google's Year in Search 2024 list. All Eyes on Rafah took the top position.

One Direction member Liam Payne's death was also among the most searched topics on Google in 2024. He was the fifth most-searched person globally. Sean Diddy Combs topped the list of most-searched musicians globally.
