Feature film 'Mandali' has been?selected for Indian Panorama, the flagship component of the 54th IFFI, 2023 along with films like 'Kantara', and 'The Kerala Story' among others. A package of 25 Feature films has been selected to be screened from a broad spectrum of 408 contemporary Indian feature films as a package of feature films which reflects the vibrancy and diversity of the Indian film industry.
'Mandali' Gets Selected For Indian Panorama, IFFI; Makers Calls It A Proud Moment
Film 'Mandali' has secured its place in the Panorama section of IFFI, Goa alongside films like 'Kantara' and 'The Kerala Story'.
Directed by Rakesh Chaturvedi Om, the film is touted to be based on the exploitation of Ramleela by incorporating obscene dances in small towns for financial gain which stars Rajniesh Duggall, Brijendra Kala, Aanchal Munjal, Abhishek Duhan and Vineet Kumar in prominent roles.?
Director Rakesh Chaturvedi Om said, "This is indeed a very happy and proud moment for us. Our film has been selected for IFFI, 2023, in the category of films that are a mirror of the Indian Cinema. At such a crucial point of our film release, this news feels like a big win. It's a matter of honour and privilege to get selected for the Government's official festival. "
Producer Prashant Kumar Gupta, in his statement said, "We are only three days away from release, and it's an immensely joyous moment for us. For an independent film like this, the selection for Indian Panorama Section, IFFI came as a blessing in disguise."
Produced by Prashant Kumar Gupta, Geetika Gupta and Neetu Sabarwal of Reltic Pictures, the film also stars an ensemble cast of Kanwaljeet Singh, Alka Amin, Ashwath Bhatt, Saharsh Shukla and Neeraj Sood.
