‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ Box Office: Salman Khan’s Film Performs Decently On Make-Or-Break Monday
Salman Khan's family entertainer delivered a double-digit finish on its first Monday.
As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ managed to hit double digits on make-or-break Monday despite declining at premium multiplexes. But it performed well in metros and single screens. On its first Monday, the film collected Rs 10.17 crore, taking the film’s India business to Rs 78.34 crores.
“#KBKJ is enjoying a terrific run in mass pockets/Hindi belt, which is clearly driving its biz… #SalmanKhan’s star power is, of course, the icing on the cake… The film should stay strong in mass circuits in days to come, looking at the current trends,” he tweeted.
Nonetheless, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that only a few Hindi movies have delivered good box office numbers in the three years since the pandemic began. This year, only Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ proved to be a box office hit, while the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ also did decent numbers.
‘KKBKKJ’, a remake of the 2014 film ‘Veeram’ starring Ajith, is helmed by Farhad Samji, and also stars Venkatesh Daggubati, Pooja Hegde, Jagapathi Babu, and Bhumika Chawla. It also stars Vijender Singh, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari and Vinali Bhatnagar.
