'KGF 3': Prashanth Neel Confirms Script Of The Yash Starrer Is Locked, Says, 'I Don’t Know If I Will Direct It'

Prashanth Neel revealed that the script of 'KGF 3' is locked and will happen.? He doesn't know if he is the director but Yash is part of the third instalment.

Yash starrer 'KGF: Chapter 1' that was released in 2018 took the box office by storm. The pan-India film directed by Prashanth Neel became the first Kannada movie to shatter the box office records. Following the success of 'KGF', the second instalment hit the theatres in 2022 which also did a great business. It is to be noted that 'KGF: Chapter 2' was one of the highest-grossing movies in 2022 at the Indian box office. The movie entered the Rs 1000 crore club worldwide. In a recent interview, Prashanth Neel has given a major update on 'KGF 3'.

Sharing the update on the Yash-led film, Prashanth confirmed that the script of 'KGF 3' is locked and will happen.?He added, ''I don’t know if I am the director or not but Yash will always be a part of it. We already have a script. We had decided on the script before making the announcement. Yash is a very responsible individual and won’t put out things for just commercial reasons. We were sure to have things on paper before making an official announcement at the end of KGF 2."

Prashanth is currently gearing up for his next pan-India actioner 'Salaar Part 1 Ceasefire' which stars??Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran?and Shruti Haasan. 'Salaar' trailer was unveiled recently. After this, he will direct Jr NTR's next film which is tentatively titled 'NTR 31'.

The filmmaker also spoke about it as he shared, "That’s my next after Salaar and we start shooting in the second half of 2024. It’s going to be a different film with different emotions. I don’t want to get into the genre but I know, people will assume it to be an action film. I want to call it a very new story for me, which I want to tell my audience. It has got its own emotion and I hope people relate to it."
