Game 10 ended in a draw, marking the seventh consecutive draw in the FIDE World Chess Championship 2024 and the eighth overall. The scores are now tied at 5-5 each.

In the 14-round match, the winner will need at least 7.5 points to claim the championship and both players are still shy of 2.5 points in order to win the championship.

The 32-year-old Ding won the opening game, while the 18-year-old Gukesh claimed victory in the third game. The second, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth games all ended in draws.

In Game 10, a three-fold repetition led to a draw by move 36, around two and a half hours into the match.

The scores stay tied at 5-5, keeping Gukesh and Ding neck and neck. The London System from Game 6 made a comeback, but Gukesh's solid defense neutralized every variation, maintaining a controlled position.
