India and China have started their respective campaigns with facile wins, scoring plenty of goals. And the repeat of the 2012 final is expected to be a testy affair.
China have been utterly dominant in two outings so far in this edition. They have scored 27 unanswered goals -- 19 against Bangladesh, and eight against Thailand.
India have also sounded the board plenty of times -- 13-1 against Bangladesh and 5-0 against Malaysia. They are second behind China (six points each) on goal difference.
In another Pool A match on Wednesday, Bangladesh will face Malaysia.

Women's Hockey Junior Asia Cup 2024 Format
The 10 participating teams have been divided into two pools: Bangladesh, China, India, Malaysia, and Thailand in Pool A; Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Sri Lanka and Chinese Taipei in Pool B.
During the pool stage, each team will play the other four teams once and the top two teams will qualify for the semi-finals, while the teams in third and fourth positions will face off in the 5-8 place classification match.
The four semi-finalists and the fifth-place team will qualify for the FIH Hockey Women's Junior World Cup 2025, to be played in Chile.
