ISRO Shares Footage Of Chandrayaan-3's Touchdown On Moon And Coming Out Of Pragyaan Rover

Highlighting the ISRO's precision and meticulous planning, earlier this week, the agency assured that all phases of Chandrayaan-3 were proceeding as scheduled, with all systems operating within the expected parameters.

Chandrayaan-3's successful lunar landing marked a significant milestone as the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) shared a captivating video today, revealing the Moon's surface moments before the Vikram lander gently touched down on the southern pole.

The video was unveiled on X, formerly known as Twitter, amplifying the achievement. India's space agency has now achieved the distinction of being the first nation to successfully land its spacecraft on the challenging terrain of the lunar South Pole. In contrast, a recent Russian attempt to land on the same region ended in failure just last week.

Also,The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) unveiled a captivating video today showcasing the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft's pivotal moment: the Pragyan rover's graceful descent from the Vikram Lander onto the lunar south pole. ISRO shared the enthralling footage on X, formerly known as Twitter, with an intriguing caption that read, "... ... and here is how the Chandrayaan-3 Rover ramped down from the Lander to the Lunar surface."

Highlighting the ISRO's precision and meticulous planning, earlier this week, the agency assured that all phases of Chandrayaan-3 were proceeding as scheduled, with all systems operating within the expected parameters. Chandrayaan-3 is composed of the Vikram lander and the Pragyan rover.

After the Vikram lander's successful touchdown, the Pragyan rover embarked on its lunar journey, as detailed by the ISRO this Thursday. Both these components are designed to function optimally during a single lunar daytime, approximately equal to 14 Earth days.

To ensure a safe landing, the lander is equipped with a sophisticated array of sensors. These include accelerometers, altimeters, Doppler velocimeters, inclinometers, touchdown sensors, and an assortment of cameras dedicated to averting obstacles and maintaining precise positional awareness.
